I’d been tempted by the “assiette of lemon” – lemon tart, lemon posset, lemon sorbet – but, with all three, the lemon was muted and what could have been a cracker of a sweet, proved to be very ordinary. Much better – but the accompanying vanilla ice-cream let it down.
